Hey there! I’m Raihan, a professional photographer in Taichung, Taiwan. That’s me in the picture above. I think it’s important to get to know the person you will be working with. So here’s a little bit of background on me.

I’m from the UK, and I have been living in Taiwan since 2013! In Taiwan, I live in Taichung City. If you know me, you’ll know how much I love the mountains. And Taichung has an abundance of mountains. It feels great being so close to the mountain ranges!

I have always had an eye for taking a good picture. I picked up my first “proper” camera when my daughter was about to turn one years old. I always took photos of her on my smart phone. However, I was not really happy with the quality, I promised myself that before she turned one, I would buy a nicer camera so that I could take better pictures of her that I would be happy with forever! My wife baulked at the idea when I told her how much it would cost just for the camera body alone! I had to convince her that the end result of great photos that we would be proud of hanging on our walls at home would outweigh the “extravagant” costs.

Having bought the camera, I knew I had the ability to capture special moments of my daughter as she was growing up. This spurred me on to take up photography professionally. Why? So that I could offer others the chance to capture those fleeting special moments of themselves and their family. Just like I did for my own family. And then to have those moments enshrined in a photo forever.
